Gosh darn that's a nice benchy! I'll chuck it in my dehydrator for 4 hours and see how it goes.

I really don't want to spray my bed with hairspray though! I like the sexy sexy textured PEI and don't want to goop it.

Yeah this stuff is fantastic when really really dry.  I recon this is a candidate for Benchy of the Month!  Nylon needs at least 12h @ 70c.  Only one side of my textured PEI sheet has been sprayed.  I just flip it over when needed and you can always clean it off.

Same print settings but this time eSun ePA-GF (Nylon Glass Fibre).  Again it did not print well straight from the new packet.  This is how it looks once dry.  Like with ePA-CF this stuff is another great functional filament choice.

These results look excellent! Is there a way to import the 3mf file into PrusaSlicer and change the printer and retain the filament and print settings?

Hello,

I am starting printing with this eSun ePA-CF, biginning with a 40mm cube in vase mode, and the wall thickness are 0.58 mm, which conduct us to an extrusion multiplier of : 0.78 🙄. Cube 1st layer width is 40.2mm
Then printed another one at 0.85 to check, wall are 0.52. 1st layer width is 40mm.
Maybe wall are not smooth enough to allow a good measurement on this kind of filament.
Someone has made an extrusion multiplier calibration, or has made measurements on printed parts ?
Like parts I will print are 70g, 5h printing time, I will know only after if they are dimensionally correct.

Printed my part at 0.9 extrusion coefficient. It is a little bit taller than the prototype in PLA. A 50mm side is 49,95mm with prototype in PLA, it is 50.30mm with this ePA-CF eSun at 0.9 coef. 
Printing well, nice matt anthracite.

Looks great, how tough is it ? I noticed you adjusted the extrusion multiplier for dimension accuracy, I guess the 50mm dim is in Z ? How does it affect x and y. . ? I’ve tried various tough stuff , Ninjatek Armadillo and Taulman 910 and get shrinkage on the x y diameters.

This is in X, there is no variation on Z, extrusion coeficient is not affecting Z. I cannot measure Y as my caliper is too smal for this shape.

It is easy to print, I use an enclosure like for standard nylon, this is my 1st print with it, printed 100% infill, it is tough but I cannot compare as I do not have any other filament except PLA & PETG and only 1 standard nylon only.

Great 👍🏻. I tried 3 different nylon samples, I created a 50 x 5 x 10 mm piece, sliced it and printed. I couldn’t break with my hand, I used mole grips and found they were all very strong the taulman 910 took the most back and forth bending force to break.

  I’ve just spent half of today doing this so this could be useful for you to get your dims spot on ? Of course the Extrusion Modifyer Calibration you would have to do for each type and manufacture filament. Cheers

I am using a luggage scale on the hole an pull. Just need to screw the part on a piece of wood. I have been surprised that the PLA 30% survived at 20kg. Not tested this nylonCF yet.

FYI - eSun have released a new PA6 based CF filament called eSun ePA6-CF - I did some tests on it and updated my results in this thread https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/english-forum-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/practical-filament-tests/#post-253687

It prints pretty well and look dimensionally accurate.  Again you have to really really dry this stuff, but the results are a much harder and temp resistant part.  It is also expensive.

Hi,

just started to play with ePa CF, but might be in need for more strength where did you get ePa6 cf.

I get good results so far using our drying process for injection molded PA 6.6 GF30

I'm in Australia and got it from the local eSun Distributor (who are now out of stock).  This filament is based on Lehvoss LUVOCOM 3F series 9742 BK so it may show up from other MFR. 

FYI - I'll update the practical testing thread, but it looks like the claims of a Heat Distortion temp of 240c is true.  I heated some samples to 230c for 2 hours in an oven and they held their shape just fine, but were more brittle afterwards.  This stuff also has a claimed 150c continuous use temp and Maximum (short term) Use Temp of 180c

Yes this is the only online shop I can find ePA6 CF. On eSun website it is still upcoming product

On side note I left the spool ePA-CF over night in eBox , that I use to feed the material during printing.

The Ebox was working all the time at level 4 (esun claim it is 70 degC for Nylon) 

I printed a customers design , simple square holder about 100x100x 60  part and I got "banging" like in the other tread with ePA-GF

FYI - it took me about 24hrs @ 70c to get my ePA6-CF dry enough to print well, and that was straight out of the packet.  I have no idea if the eSun eBox is any good at drying, I used a modified food dehydrator for both drying and feeding the material from.  I just kept testing using this model (only takes a couple of minutes to print) till the stringing stopped.  https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2219103

Looks like I was lucky to get a spool of the ePA6-CF 🙂

I think I have severe partial clog with ePA CF

I had to rise last print to 280 and still somewhat flimsy parts
