Edit cut feature and connectors

I made a cut through my model and add a couple of connectors. Now i recognized that the connectors are to big in diameter. How can i edit the connectors and the cut after the cut is created?

As far as I know your only option is to use Undo.  That's if you haven't closed or otherwise opened a different project that clears the undo stack.  These tools are done in a slicer, there's no parametric task stack like some CAD programs have.

It is why its still best to do these operations in CAD rather than the slicer if you can.

You are right, i better should do this in CAD rather than in the slicer. I like the connectors feature in prusa slicer, because it is so easy to add connectors. In CAD its more complicated mostly.

But i found a strange way to edit the connectors: After adding connectors and finishing the cut, you can do "undo" (as you said) until the cut feature is undo. After that, add a new cut features and it you will notice that the "Add connectors" button changed to "Edit connectors". Press on it and you can edit your connectors. 🙂

The reason why i also want to do that in slicer: If you have a model from printables (or any other source) and you want to cut it, because the model needs less support or does not fit on your build plate then you can not do this in CAD for many models. E.g.: I have a model from printables as 3mf file. I can import this model in my CAD programm but only as mesh or surface model. So it is impossible to edit the model mostly.

Yeah the undo is a tiny bit like a timeline in CAD, but only to a limited extent and once you close the software its gone.

As for editing downloaded models, well I use Blender so its all mesh models and it can manipulate meshes quite handily once you know how.  Guess its whatever you are used to.

Yo, Blender is mesh only i guess. I am using Solidworks. There are a couple of mesh edit features but i am more in parametric modeling.

I can replicate your steps, but it appears that if I edit the connectors, it will change the size of the dowels and the holes.  I'm looking for a way to slightly decrease the diameter of the dowels so they will enter the corresponding holes more easily.  I haven't quite figured out the functionality of the tolerance settings for depth and size.  Perhaps that will help.
