Edge artefacts compared to Cura

Hello,

I'm having the following issue with PrusaSlicer:

This edge should be completely flat as the edges are sharp 90 degree angle. But prints with Prusa Slicer features these bumps on every possible vertical 90 degree edge. Basically seems like too much material is deposited there.

In Cura this does not happen whatsoever. Same speed and comparable settings (haven't touched any of the advanced settings).

I'm on Prusa Slicer 2.5.0, printer is an Anycubic Kobra. 0.4mm nozzle, PETG (though it happens regardless of material and nozzle).

Is there a setting that will let me fix this behaviour?

Try to switch the perimeter generator from Arachne to classic mode. You need to be in Prusaslicer's Advanced mode to do that.

It probably need the linear advance calibrating for the printer and material and those settings adding to the filament profiles custom gcode field so it gets set properly.  IIRC Cura uses coasting which the slic3r derivatives dont (LA is used instead).

My CR10 did the same until I calibrated it. (still does with a .6 nozzle as I need to redo it for that at some point)

Unfortunately that didn't change anything. 🙁

Ummm... I feel I'm not advanced enough to understand how to do that.

RE: Edge artefacts compared to Cura

Please save your project as a 3mf file from Prusaslicer's File menu, then compress it to a zip file (right click on the file), and use the Attach file option to upload it here. It has to be zip compressed or the forum software won't accept it. The 3mf file contains the STL and ALL your settings, so folks here can take a look and offer suggestions based on data, not just hunches.
