Dimension Corrections in PS

This will sound like a newbie(ish) question, but I'm ignorant enough to ask it. I well understand how and why printed dimensions vary from those specified in a CAD file, i.e., outside dimensions print larger than  specified, theoretically by the nozzle size/trace width, and interior dimensions (holes) print smaller. Does (or can) PS, or any slicer, attempt to correct for this unavoidable action by tweaking the X-Y-Z travel distances, or do I need to (continue to) change/try my CAD files for this? Have I skipped an obvious/needed calibration routine in my setup(s)?

For various discussions on it.  Parts should not print larger than the external dimensions as the width of the extrusion is taken into account when plotting the paths.  If anything plastic shrinkage should make them smaller.  Holes are always a problem though as the holes are n-point approximations in both the model and when sliced.

If you read the various threads on github there's the argument of its not linear so difficult to account for vs it doesn't have to be perfect just good enough.

Those issues also discuss other slicers and what they do etc.  SuSi has compensation values in and it looks like Cura also has some form of compensation too for shrinkage.  PS just has the XY adjustment but that's global so make your parts grow and the holes will also get smaller.  Read up and form your own opinion.

As for calibration I hope you are measuring the real world filament diameter and setting that on a per filament basis ?  I've found that by doing that my extrusion multiplier is very rarely different from 1.0 and I reset the flow rate in the start gcode to S100 and that gives me nearly perfect sized prints with pla/petg.  ABS and ASA are more problematic naturally.
