Deliberately over extruding only infill?

Hi

A bit of an odd question, is it possible to convince prusaslicer to deliberately over extrude only the infill with a couple of percent?

A bit of background.
I was printing something in clear PETG and found that the areas where i had regular (100%) infill  was not as clear as other areas where slicer decided to print a bit differently.
This got me thinking if it perhaps would be possible to add a tiny bit more plastic when you do 100% infill to try to get rid of the air bubbles between the layers.
But not over extrude everywhere and make the object look ugly, top and bottom layer can print normal.

I'm not sure if this will really work but would be nice to try and see what comes out.

I haven’t seen anything  is Prusa Slicer to do that but there is a fork of PS called Super Slicer that can. It has loads of extra options and tweaks.  As well as options for different flows etc it has a couple of extra fill options to make them fully filled.   It’s available to download here https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer/releases

Install it just like Prusa slicer and if you have any customised profiles in PS then you can export a config bundle and import it into Super Slicer.
Give it a go and if you have any questions on the extra settings just ask.

i was thinking about this a bit more and got an idea i haven't tested yet.

you can change the flowrate using M221 so what if you setup a fake multimaterial print where the tool change command is actually just changing the flowrate and not tool.
then you can set extruder 1 to your normal material and extruder 2 is actually the same thing but instead just changes flow rate.
and then make infill use extruder 2.

and then combine this with lowering the print speed (maybe only infill and possibly top layer) to make the plastic flow better and hopefully get a clear print.

Before you try anything complicated, try adjusting infill speeds. I've found speed makes the biggest impact on translucent prints. This does mean you will likely end up printing everything at something like 25mm/s, but the results can be very pleasing.
