Create hole in perimeter to access infill

I am wondering if it is possible to create a hole in the perimeter (or outer shell) of a part, to access the infill. For example i wish to print a part, and fill it with sand or expoy to add weight or stability. Currently I am drilling a hole, but I would prefer to have that access hole already in the printed part.

Then use a type modifier part and add settings to it, e.g. no top and bottom layers, no perimeters, zero infill. Then you can see the infill.

Right-click on your part in PrusaSlicer, in the context menu choose "Add negative volume". Choose the shape and size that you want and move it to the desired position. In the slicing preview you will be able to see the result.

That gives not the intended result. e.g:

The cylindical recess was created via negative volume.

What I try to achieve is something linke this (artists impression):
