Copying (ps) parts/modifiers, etc. from one object on to another?

I have used PS to add various parts/modifiers (filament changes, infill settings, etc.) to an object.  I've now edited the original object and was hoping I could use the 'reload object' to load the edited object AND apply the existing parts/modifiers.  It doesn't work.  The original object is still being used.

An alternative solution was to copy the added parts/modifiers from the original model and paste to the new object.  That doesn't appear possible either.

Ideas anyone?

Yes this is possible. You have to use the right hand side tree list to select things though. You can select most  modifiers from the right tree list and use control+c to copy and control+v to paste them to a different object.
You can also use replace object after right clicking an object, the stl and most will also stay, thinks like height range modifiers etc

The only ones that absolutely won’t, even if you reload the same object is anything that relies on painted areas. All painted work is reset as soon as you reload or load a different one in.

This isn't a criticism, but rather an inquiry.

This information has been made available in many many posts before this and is also listed in the shortcuts menu in PS for years, are you truly seeing this for the first time?

I'm asking this because I assume this information to be obvious to users and I'm trying to gauge the awareness of the average user, and you have been here for years, and this has been available for years.

Regards

Ah, yes.  It is my habit to rely on the alt-click to display available operations on items in the right-side tree-list.  I don't think to try control-c/v, as I like some feedback from the UI that the operation was accepted.

So thanks!   I do notice however the parts/modifiers I copy don't get pasted accurately.  For example I had a part that was pasted onto the destination object.  Some of the part positioning was carried over in the copy, but not the Z axis.  It appeared flat on the build-plate instead of being at Z height of the source.

Is alt-click to display available operations, A Mac specific thing? I'm a windows user, knowing this could really help my ability to help users in the future.

I should add that I can show you things in PS on windows that would blow your mind. For some reason they don't seem top be available on Mac.

My use of the term 'alt-click' is my attempt to be inclusive to both right and left handed mouse users.  Right handed mousers (usually) use the left-side mouse button as primary and the right-side mouse button as the alternative (and vice versa for the lefties).
(And yes, I use a Mac so technically my copy/paste functions a command-c and command-v.)
