Complete Individual Object, no print time decrease....

I'm trying the Complete Individual Object setting and I don't see any print time decrease. I am assuming there should be some time decrease, but it isn't there.

Am I making a wrong assumption, or still missing a correct setting? Looking at the travel in the gcode viewer it looks right, 1 track between each of the 3 parts. No collisions detected.

Tried searching the forum....

thanks.

I sliced nine small identical objects and the estimated printing time is 23m. If I switch to complete individual objects the time increases to 57m. The increase is probably due to all of the extra z travel.

Agree with fabnavigator, complete individual usually results in longer print times as z movement is a lot slower than x/y even when printing.

The tradeoff is you can stop the print if one instance fails and as theres less travel between objects you can get less stringing between them.  Although if you are having that much stringing then you are better off figuring out whats causing that and stopping it.
