Change filament mid layer

Hello!

I have a part where I need to print the perimeter of a part on the first layer in one color, and the rest in another color.
I haven't found a way to trigger a filament change yet, could anyone help me out? 🙂

Now, ideally the best would be to print the perimeter of two layers first (with color 1) (since it's quite thin), and then print the rest of layer 1, then rest of layer 2 (with color 2). So like this: perimeter1, perimeter2, filament change, infill1, infill2, rest of model. I don't know if that's possible, but if not then I'll settle with only the first parameter.

If it pauses and I can change it manually, then I hope I can also purge it manually, rotate the extruder until nothing of color1 is left. Or do I need a purge surface? Either works, I'll go with the easiest option.
