Bridge infill for shallow top surfaces

I noticed that PS is very good about using bridge infill to "anchor" a flat or very shallow top surface to the infill. However, at some angle it stops doing this and just prints the solid infill directly in the air, leading to very poor surface quality. See the picture below, the lower surface is being bridged, but the steeper one at the top right is not. Is there a setting controlling this behavior? I'd like to make it use bridge infill for steeper angles than it does now.

In playing around with this more, I noted that the lightning infill is quite good about making sure everything is supported. Of course it has other drawbacks in not providing much structural stability. It would be great if the lightning infill could be provided "on top" of any of the regular infill options, i.e., it would first generate the regular infill and then, using that as the base instead of just the perimeters, generate lightning infill on top of that to provide better support where needed.
