Bricked USB drive
I was using the handy eject drive button in the latest version of PrusaSlicer (on Win7 machine), got the message that the drive had been successfully unmounted, and then yanked it out and plugged it into my Mini, which then didn't recognize it. Tried it back in my PC and it was no longer recognized there, either. I then switched to a different USB drive that has a flashing "busy" light on it. This time, when I ejected the drive with the PrusaSlicer button, I got the "successfully unmounted" message, but the light on the USB drive continued to flash for another second or so. I'm now thinking that I corrupted my first drive when pulled it out before it was fully unmounted. Could it be that the PrusaSlice "successfully unmounted" message is popping up a second or so too soon? Has anyone else had this problem?
RE: Bricked USB drive
I would suggest using an eject function that is known to do a complete file system sync/flush/dismount, as in the eject function in the file manager and not one that runs within an application.
RE: Bricked USB drive
Thanks - I'll be doing that from now on. That little button within PrusaSlicer is convenient, but dangerous.

My guess is that it's been tested to work with at least some versions of some operating systems, but may have not been thoroughly shaken down on Windows 7, which is still fairly widely used but officially out of support. One complaint about the newest (5.0x) release of Cura has been that it refuses to run on Windows 7 and to add insult to injury, makes it so previous versions will not run except if a complete wipe-out and re-install from scratch is done.
