Bad Model(s) or Slicer Issue?

I had an issue with this object I want to print, here's a section view in Fusion 360 where I created it from scratch:

PrusaSlicer complains about "error" and that it repaired 1457 of them. It looks fine on the build plate but slicing is a hot mess.

I tried several different stl exports in fusion, low, medium and high "refinement" and I also tried loading the stl into blender (no complaints), modifying the mesh a bit and then re-exporting as stl and got better but similar results.

I tried slicing the model in half in PrusaSlicer and got some interesting results. 3d editor view show the model appears to be a hollow thin-walled object but if you slice, it treats it as solid, here's both halves laying cut face up overlapped in the two views.

Version 2.3.0+

I'm grasping at straws to get a good slice now. Any ideas?

@mscalora

I flip the part 90° and get this, it sliced fine

I know it is not printable in that location without support, but it may be a clue.

Upload the f3d-model, there is always someone with an idea..

@mscalora

There may be something weird with the model in Fusion, look at the marked areas...

I thought you said Blender didn't have any issues ?

I ran the exported stl from the 3mf file through Blenders 3d print tool and it comes back with the following

931 Non Manifold edges (these are the biggest issues)
369 Intersecting Faces
22 Zero Faces
11 Zero Edges
492 Thin faces
1 sharp edge

Using the automatic Make Manifold option reduced that to 4 intersecting faces and 2 thin faces and 5 sharp edges.  After a quick export and loading into PS2.3.1 it then slices fine.

I'd have to see the original stl file that you loaded into Blender to see any differences but the ones reported in Blender match up to those areas that Ringarn points out from your model.

That stl file reports the same issues in Blender that the one exported from the 3mf does.  So I dont think the loading in to PS and exporting from PS has done anything to it that wasn't already there.

You basically have lots of unconnected edges/verts in those areas that Ringarn pointed out as well as open holes in the mesh.  This is the view in edit mode from 'inside the tube' looking towards the inner wall.  You can see gaps in the geo where the outer wall is visible through.

RESOLVED

The issue was having a few fusion "surface bodies" visible (though not really noticeable) that were used in a "Boundary Fill" operation to create "Solid Bodies". Since these bodies are coplanar with the faces of solid bodies you can only see a few random facet sparkles. I guess Fusion exported triangles in the same plane twice so slicer got confused. Once I "hid" the surface bodies, all were happy. Not sure if Fusion should warn or ignore coplanar surface bodies on export, slicer should ignore on import (maybe too expensive to detect?), both or neither. I'll call it "user error".

Thanks for the suggestions that helped me figure it out.
