Arrange items with supports.
Is there an easy way to align items on the bed with supports? Auto arrange does a great job until say organic supports are added. I then find myself having to go back to the bed and repeatedly tweak until things fit without overlapping supports.

What do you mean a stl from makerworld ? if its an actual stl then it will get placed in the middle of the platter when loaded. If its a different file such as a 3mf then that could react differently. As a 3mf is a project file and can load much more than just object geometry. Do you have an example you can post ?
Also you can zoom to the platter very easily. 'B' shortcut is zoom to Bed. Also the 'Z' key will zoom you to the currently selected object. You can also use the number keypad 0-6 to change the angle you are viewing at. Zero is iso, 1 is top down etc. Have a look through the keyboard shortcuts listed under Help (you can also use the '?' key directly).

You can adjust both the size of the support expansion , called "First Layer Expansion" on the supports settings (its a expert level one to see it). You can also configure how close the arrange function places objects. Right click the arrange tool icon on the top plater toolbar.
Also another technique that is sometimes useful, if you combine objects after arranging then the supports wont overlap, they will merge as you have merged their respective objects

Many thanks for that. Really useful tips for a casual user like me. The slicer is great but still has quirks, such as when you open an stl from makerworld and then the platter is no longer in the middle of the screen with no way to re-Center it. Prusa have done a great job adding so much while keeping it open source.

Sorry, I meant 3mf. Problem is, maker world often has multi plater files. So wile they open in Prusa Slicer, the platers end up offset. Pain in the butt really. Some models I could only find there but a lot of makers seem to be taking down their files from that site and placing them here instead.

I'm not going to comment on Makerworld or certain slicers that are forked from PS, but for some reason are no longer compatible.
