Any way to take screenshots from within PrusaSlicer?

There have been several times when I have needed to take screen shots of the plater to send for illustrative purposes. It's relatively easy to do this with the PrtScr button (as I did for the attached picture), but would be even easier if it could be done from within the slicer itself, perhaps as an option on the File/Export/Export Plate As dropdown as a JPG or PNG image? Should this be a Github suggestion?

Your computer or tablet will.  You can suggest it as a feature on github.

Why should slicer do this when as you point out the function is built into the OS and secondly there are pieces of software available specifically designed to make screen shots of all or part of the screen easy to take.
Id far rather that limited resource was spent fixing actual slicing issues (of which there are many) than added in superfluous functions that most people won’t actually use. It’s a slicer, let it slice, and let it slice well. It doesn’t need to be a Swiss army slicer.

With no hyperbole I suspect there are about a million screen capture programs.

@neophyl

Ten export options already sounds kind of Swiss Army Knife-y, what's one more that doesn't take up additional O/S resources? The modelling program I used for the pictured item has a simple name-the-file/two click process which I would have used in the O/P except it has some feature limitations I was able to compensate for with the PrusaSlicer's amazing set of manipulation tools, for which I am grateful, and many of which I have yet to fully explore. An Export-to-image option, with a draw-a-wire-box around the desired portion of the screen, omitting, say, the side-bar menus doesn't seem, INMHO, to be that much of a stretch. But then, IANAP, so it's off to GitHub.

True, but one built in that requires less effort might be welcome.

Problem solved. Feedback from GitHub informs me of the [Windows]+[Shift]+[S] shortcut that does essentially what I want, at least for Win10. YO/SMV.

FWIW - MonoSnap is a very good cross-platform screen cap program that offers annotation and other features. I use it for producing documentation.

Save the project as am "3mf" file. This is just a compressed archive.

If you open it there will be a "Metadata" folder that contains a thumbnail "png" file.

For completeness: CMD+Shift+5 does the same on recent MacOS releases.

"Recent" as in more than 10 years ago? 🤣 As far back as OS X Tiger,  I can remember cmd+shift+3 or 4 or 5 can take screenshot.

I commonly use CMD - Shift -5.  I really like Mono-Snap and the ability to store them online.

I like cmd+shift+4 since it allows me to define the area to capture, or add space bar to capture the window.

CMD-Shift-5 was new with Mojave and provides more options. That's the option I was referring OP to for specific needs. Yes, the basic 3 & 4 options have been around a long time but are a little clunky. I wasn't on a Mac regularly until Yosemite rolled out. I still prefer Monosnap for quick capture & editing, but the Mojave options closed the gap for the most part.

I have to agree with the ease of editing in MonoSnap.
