AMF files with 2.4.1

I just upgraded to 2.4.1 from 2.3.x (can't recall exact).  I have previously made 100's of models that imported just fine as AMF files (I understand PrusaSlicer or NetFabb may have made some unreported edits to the models).  Now if I import one of those files into 2.4.1 it shows errors on all of the parts (open edges).  All of these models have empty spaces in the middle for weights.  If I slice without fixing errors it doesn't slice correctly for some of those empty spaces.  If I fix the errors it says it fixed them fine but then it fills in the empty spaces.

Any ideas on how to get around NetFabb filling in the empty spaces?  Or anything else to get it to work? Oh and as a text I made simplified versions and brought in as AMF and as STL.  AMF has the issues above, STL shows no errors and slices fine.

Wow, 2.4.1 makes even more changes to AMF files.  Here is slice with custom lettering before and after fixing the errors using NetFabb.  Lettering is moved.  This additionally creates infill for layers above the lettering where previously it was just regular infill.
