Additional Perimeters in certain heigh strain areas

Hi Forum,

Im currently trying to make just a small part of my Print a bit stronger, but by adding some perimeters via a modifier it always cuts the outer perimeter in parts!

Is there a Way to get to what i want in Ps 2.4?

Not at this time.  The way the modifiers work is it in effect splits the model into separate parts to apply the different slicing settings to.  This has the effect you note. While modifiers are a handy tool this side effect does limit their use in certain applications.  There are several issues opened on github relating to it already.

It would take a fundamental change in the way they work to alter this so I suspect its not an easy thing to do.

If you want to reinforce particular areas then the 'easiest' way is to model in some hollow voids into the part.  That way any slicer will add perimeters around the void.  You get control of how and where the perimeters are as you can control thee voids placement.  Just make sure the hollow areas are larger than the settings for slice gap closing radius configured in PS.
