Adding Fuzzy Skin

I have a 147.5 x 130 x 3mm square and I want to put Fuzzy Skin on two edges and the top. How?

RE: Adding Fuzzy Skin

You cant add fuzzy skin to the top.  It is only applicable to printing perimeters.  You can add it to the sides by using modifiers on just those 2 sides, although I doubt you will enjoy what you get.

RE: Adding Fuzzy Skin

I know that the pattern is not exactly the same, but I've found that the texture of the Prusa textured build plate goes quite well, visually speaking, with the fuzzy skin option of Cura (and probably with PS, now that it has the option).  This can be used to get a somewhat similar texture on the top of a model.

You will probably have to expand the photo below to see the details, but the motor box on the model below was printed in two pieces, the main box, bottom side down, on the Prusa smooth build plate with fuzzy skin on the sides, and the top piece printed top side down on the textured plate, again with fuzzy skin on the sides.

From a distance of a few feet, it's easy to see that all visible sides of the motor box are textured, but the difference in texture between the fuzzy skin and the textured build plate surface is not obvious.

RE: Adding Fuzzy Skin

If you really need fuzzy on top, you could always print with the part on it's side.
