Adaptive Layer height

Hi,

I rcently had the idea of adaptive layerheights in a print.

Either the regions where it is needed get detected or you manually set the point of change.

The point of change can be set as a hard change or a gradual fade.

Or even regional layer height differences.

That means: around a set boundary-object the layer height is 0.1 instead of 0.25 mm.

Regards,

Nathan

You mean like Prusa Slicer already does lol.

You can use either normal modifiers or layer height ranges to set specific layer heights.  Or you can use the layer height tool to either manually or automatically generate a layer height 'map' .  Please read https://www.help.prusa3d.com/en/article/variable-layer-height-function_1750

Thats one of the reasons Prusa Slicer slices each object individually, it allows different objects to have different layer heights.
