2.6 Alpha 1?
The 2.6 Alpha-0 on git hub is 6 months old:
https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases/tag/version_2.6.0-alpha0
It'd be really nice if the team updated the git to an alpha 1 with organic supports included..
RE: 2.6 Alpha 1?
At the last live chat on youtube it was mentioned that there are still 2-3 more features that need to be added and the likelihood was it wouldn't be before christmas.
It will come when its ready (actually probably before its ready if history is anything to go by). Just get a bit of patience.
RE: 2.6 Alpha 1?
I'm also waiting patiently, looking forward to 2.6, hope I don't have to wait too long!
RE: 2.6 Alpha 1?
Is 2.6 alpha 1 released? can't find and not really handy to find on github, i don't really understand how it works!!!
RE: 2.6 Alpha 1?
No it isnt yet. Its easy to find, it will appear at https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases . If you register for github you can even get it to email you when a new release is posted.
RE: 2.6 Alpha 1?
Very good, super. But in the process of cutting the model, the command that will create holes in both parts should be added. If you say why, to sand the cut surface of both pieces and combine them perfectly.
RE:
I am looking forward to this. I am already using prusaslicer to trim off parts of an stl that flummox openscad.
Please on the organic supports include an option to fill an area with organic supports. It can be hard to print the void that a latch is intended to snap into. Right now I am working on pieces for the (beautiful) game of tak and I can print the spikes to allow stacking pieces just fine but I am having trouble with the female part that needs to be left void on the side of the tak piece. The game pieces play a blocking strategy when played standing instead of flat and ... I will not give up but
I suggest that allowing the organic fill to be printed where ever I want might be useful to the community. Either way I will be grateful for these improvements.
RE:
the tag version_2.6.0_alpha2 appeared an hour ago:
https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases/tag/version_2.6.0-alpha2
and organic supports are in there 🙂
