RE: Update...(Kind of)
Intrigued by the 'bed spacers kit' also.
Hmm... I have been a bit nervous about a potential reduction of the Z printing range, in case the new extruder & tools are taller. But that would not need spacers to implement, so they can't be related.
Maybe Prusa are tossing in some spacers to place between the base plate and bed, to allow for better mechanical bed leveling during the "Z calibration"? But I can't see how that would be related to the INDX upgrade.
RE: Update...(Kind of)
Yeah that was my thinking also.
I mean, a lot of it could be 3d printed, and the PTFE/Filament sensors are likely to be off the shelf parts...but really we don't know until someone gets their hands on the kit.

I ordered the 8... FOMO kicked in and changed my mind again.

If the INDX takes off and ends up on other platforms, I can imagine BTT and others coming up with 3rd party solutions for this.
RE: Update...(Kind of)
Ah, so the 4 only has one 4 channel filament sensor. And only one ptfe holder set, only 4 long ptfe tubes... and those items are made by Prusa so Prusa shipping costs to add too... might have to persuade myself to get the 8 then.
Just finished work. Got the discord notification earlier and saw all the emails fly in. And catching up on all the commotion. I might just wait until tomorrow morning 😂 don’t have the head for Bondtech site today.
one thing I am taking from this is most of the BOM item have “C1/C1L”. Doesn’t look like they’re is much different on the hardware side for either unit just the firmware being the issue I guess
RE: Update...(Kind of)
Am I alone when I say that this entire thing is a mess? Not just the thing about the nozzle sizes in the kit, which would be bad enough.
4 months after making the deposit I can now order the kit, but still have essentially zero information about how any of it will work, how it will be implemented, hell I don't even know if every filament path gets its own filament sensor, what temperature I can expect to reach or definitive information about print size reduction..?
And if I want to keep up to date with what little information they do release, I'd have to go to...discord?
Maybe I'm a dramaqueen, but if this wasn't bondtech, I would've canceled the order right about now.

Yeah, I've been on Kickstarters that were run more smoothly than this. It's definitely been a sht show. We won't really know for sure until the kits are in-hand. Then we will be spending the next 3-4 months debugging it anyway.
I'm just super annoyed that they backed out of letting us select the nozzles as part of the kit and now we have to pay extra for them. I'm also annoyed that the slicer and firmware most likely won't be ready when we receive the kits.
