Genuinely excited now, I'm just glad you lot are here to help me when something goes wrong with the FE's 😅

Team effort to get a working indx?.. or more than likely a support group 😂

Now I'd love to hear from bondtech what the new bill of materials for the founders edition is going to be.
from the picture published on their web site I am missing

  • the eddy sensor board
  • the wastebin with the nozzle wiper and the holder "handle"
  • the auto open/close for the vent grill

are we "founders" getting those? Also a shipping updat le, for what's worth, would be nice to have too...

Has anyone confirmed these details on discord? I mean it was eluded to heavily that we’d get everything but with the price change I’m wondering, will we pay and then some getting the full retail experience.

Have no patience now to wade through discord since yesterday, 100s of messages and at a glance many people who just got into the race throwing shit towards founders for complaining

We should take it underground and then drip feed the 'support groups' findings to Prusa 😅

It will be there as we have seen it . (with the eddy sensor and the prime box)

... leaving the question open on the "auto open/close" mechanism that, afaik, nobody has yet seen...

Screenshot Screenshot ScreenshotI had a further scour of the discord to see what has come up. Barely have scratched the surface but looks positive around founders still getting everything from what I’ve seen posted by Tommy

The vent opener is just 3d printed parts and some screws/bearings by the looks of it. The fact that the founders plate has the mounting holes is positive indication I think

Thanks, much appreciated!

now I'll go in 'wait for the assembly manual and the shipment' mode...

So, is the nozzle limited to a maximum of 300 °C? I thought Mikolas said it could “easily” reach 360 °C...

There’s also no information on the maximum temperature the chamber can reach.

The old specifications mentioned “at least 300 °C” for the nozzle and “at least 50 °C” for the chamber. So I’m guessing the chamber is now limited to 50 °C. But the lack of information makes me worry that the CORE One’s passive heating might not even reach that temperature with the turret...

I remember this being mentioned too, they that they aimed for 350°C but they were being conservative and sticking to saying "over 300".

I think chamber temperature was talked about being 60°C, but as you say it's not been mentioned since I don't think?

Core one firmware nerf’s the chamber at 55oC. I believe this is still the limit for indx on the prusa system. For dev kits there maybe some more overhead there but don’t expect it on the readymade system.

I wonder with the Nozzel will it be the whole bracket that you have to buy or can you exchange the Nozzel alone?

I'm not really sure. Is there bracketry and/or fixings on the rear of the fence that hold the tools in place? Like would they be there for the 4T in only those positions, or all 8?

The bracket that attaches to the front plate doesn’t change but the nozzle is pretty big, it’s essentially the whole attachment that slots into indx head with the inductive element. Based on that I think the pricing is pretty decent at about 40eur versus the price of an nextruder nozzle which starts at about the same for non hardened versions

RE: Update...(Kind of)

There has been talk on the Bondtech Discord that the actual nozzle is held into the holder by clips and could be changed without replacing the holder as well. Having said that depending on the cost of nozzle and nozzle holder compared to nozzle only it may not be worth the hassle. Additionally with the focus of getting kits to people it may be a while before separate nozzles become available.

Individual docks which receive and hold the nozzles are mounted to the back of the large carrier plate. I assume you get four of them when you buy the four-tool INDX variant and eight for the fully loaded configuration. These will remain permanently attached to the carrier plate, so I don't see any need to buy them when you buy new nozzles (replacements or different sizes).

I would assume that a "four to eight" upgrade will be made available at some point. Presumably it will contain four additional docks and nozzles, spool holders, another side filament guide (and sensor?), and PTFE tubes.

Saw this awhile ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/1r6pqmg/lets_gooooo_320c_confirmed_for_indx/

it looks like higher temps can be achieved, but measuring them is the issue. The standard thermistor it appears Prusa has in their pipeline only goes to 300 C.
