RE: Update...(Kind of)

My guess is it’s all TBD, and pending an announcement.

No really sure if: Olaf is kidding, that he personally doesn't know, that BondTech doesn't know what is going on over at Prusa or they do know and just won't say. I guess we won't know for sure until the kits are actually shipped out.

The little "volcano" would be the equivalent of Voron's 6-ball (spell that out) using load cell instead of microswitch.

I was assuming the Torx screw is just there to hold the PCB in place. Or are you referring to something else?

I wonder whether Bondtech are still happy with their choice of partner. Too many last-minute developments and surprises for my taste, and very poor communications.

Compare that to the Bambu X2D launch. No official announcements and teasers until a week ago; official launch date announced four days ago; launched today with the complete website and products ready to ship.

YouTube’s bad enough today with all the Bambu shills crawling out of the woodwork, we don’t need it in here 😂

The way Prusa/Bondtech launched this benefits the customer as it prevented me from buying a MMU3 in the winter, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I also like the excitement from the small information drops from time to time, but I see that others may not feel the same.

The BambuLab way benefits only BambuLab and the impatient customers.
I imagine they would not have sold a lot of P2S if they announced the X2D a few months earlier...

You're right, and it's too far out. Contactless, then.

RE:

There is a very interesting phenomena in business of announcing a product too early called the Osbourne Effect An example would be if Prusa announced the Core Two 6-12m before they were actually ready to release, it cuts into their Core One sales adversely affecting their cashflow. Fortunately the INDX is an add-on and not a replacement so it doesn't apply. I suspect there won't be an MMU4 unless there is a way to do an AMS style multiplex into the INDX system in the future.

I bet Prusa saw a drop in Core One sales, from people preferring to wait for a "Core One including INDX". Why else would they have offered that $100 voucher?

It seems that the Core One L is less affected, with a 4 to 5 week backlog in orders. So maybe the decision not to pre-announce INDX for that machine was a good one. Fingers crossed that the Core One L helps to carry Prusa through a difficult phase in the market, until INDX revenues (hopefully) really kick in.

at the moment, even if I am still not happy in the way communication was run, if I get what is shown in the video and it works as promised, I am going to be a rather happy camper... ok the t-shirt is really not nice 😀  but the rest is frankly more than what I was expecting

So that nozzle calibration sensor is going to need wiring under the heatbed carriage and back to the buddy board (alongside the heatbed cables) do we think ?

RE: Update...(Kind of)

yeah, I almost bought a core one L… But I refuse to give them money for anything they don't actually have in stock.

I got burned badly when I purchased an MMU3 and it took 4 months to arrive. then, when it did show up, it wasn't the completed unit… It was a build yourself… So I don't really trust them with any sort of advanced purchases and especially when they turn around and change the  SKU

Less than 1g of filament per poop, or  more accurately, per ‘prime’.

RE: Update...(Kind of)

It could go up and take the place of the current sensor cable back to the hw . The INDX filament sensors (as seen in the videos) stay outside (apparently).

Looks like there will be a purge bucket rather than a wipe tower.

I guess I’m a bit late to the party.

I'm just wondering how much of this is production versus founders? Are we looking at stuff that isn't part of the Founder's edition kits? Anyway, I guess they'll announce what will be shipping soon enough.
