Let the Clone Wars begin
Well, I did not expect it to happen this fast, but unless I am misunderstanding the image from Creality, it looks like a clone of INDX. Does anyone else feel the same?
Also, for some reason, I cannot attach any images to the Prusa forums. It keeps failing during processing.
RE: Let the Clone Wars begin
I saw that posted elsewhere. At first I though it was a new kind of feminine hygiene product.
RE: Let the Clone Wars begin
I believe this system does not use induction. It looks like they have a heater on each toolhead instead. However, the mechanics used to switch the tools are very close to INDX.The specs also seem very similar to INDX.
We should know more on 5/31/2026.

Hers the video:
RE: Let the Clone Wars begin
The main differences to INDX seem to be:
1. The tools are not passive - they have electrical connections and heaters - which has the disadvantage of needing separate electronics per tool, and more difficult to add additional tools. But the advantage of preheating and less complication with wireless temperature reading etc.
2. The tools use a left/right motion for pick up/release - like the U1/XL - which has some advantages - like potentially being stronger than magnets - but also does take up more space - so will again limit the number of tools.
3. Only 4 tools shown - rather than 8.

And if they meet their Q3 2026 timeline it will likely be available before I get my first batch INDX!
RE: Let the Clone Wars begin
Was going to say the same, so arriving in Q3? Probably before I get the INDX then... However... until I see a working machine and not an AI animation I'll "believe it when I see it"
