C1L accelerometer mounting

Has anyone using a C1L identified where the accelerometer is mounted (assuming it’s on the Nextruder) and can post a photo?  Would like to see mounting location and board orientation.

My assumption is that C1 owners should be able to mount the accelerometer accessory kit board similarly and route the supplied cable back through the Nextruder umbilical to the Buddy mainboard.  Would ideally want to do this on the C1 the same or as close to the C1L implementation.

So far I haven’t observed any C1L documentation that illustrates this. And the released collection of C1L printed  parts on Printables doesn’t explicitly call out an accelerometer cover/mount.

Thanks for any feedback.

Here's the guide for how to replace it. It's located on the main cable assembly.

Thank you for providing that link!

As expected, it’s burrowed in there atop the Nextruder.  A couple observations: (A) the C1L accelerometer board appears to have a slightly smaller footprint than the C1 accessory accelerometer kit’s PCB.  Looks like Prusa trimmed off some additional mounting area on the kit version board for the final C1L board PCB, so not the exact same part. Assume C1 implementation doable with kit version board, but will need a custom accelerometer board cover plate. (B) the C1L accelerometer board PCB edges are oriented at a 45- degree angle relative to X-Y axes.  Would have to match board orientation for a C1 custom solution so data from accelerometer is interpreted correctly during input shaper test.

I have to perform a Nextruder filament sensor and idler mod for MMU3 installation in near future and may work on this then.

It would be cool if Prusa makes an official conversion kit for the C1.

Not sure if the orientation of the board is critical, as long as the PCB remains horizontal. The orientation around the Z axis varies between printer models -- 90° in the MK4, 45° in the Core One L, and whatever the skew of the hotend is in the Core One. I would assume that the firmware adds up the X and Y acceleration components measured by the sensor chip.

If one wanted to use the smaller PCB from the Core One L, is it actually available as a spare part? The replacement instructions suggest that, but I could not find it in the online store.

Ah well; I would be more motivated to play with a permanent installation on my Core One Nextruder if it weren't for the INDX on the horizon. That will require a new mounting scheme for the accelerometer anyway. (For both, the temporary attachment supported by Prusa and a homebrew permanent mounting.)

RE: C1L accelerometer mounting

Sort of surprised Prusa didn't include this as part of the Core One +... Anyway, moot for me as well 3 months from now (hopefully).
