Remove filament from tube.
Took a break from printing for a month. On restart, I found that the filament was stuck in the boden tube.
- on the supply end, it is somewhere just after the filament sensor.
- on the printhead end, it is about three inches back up the tube.
I have tried poking it with filament, from either end, and it does not want to budge (took of the tube connection from the print head).
Any suggestions for removing this stuck filament?

dang it, I can get it to shift back about an inch... but it will not get past the filament sensor. Still at at least an inch in.
and I can push it forward back that inch, but no more. So the problem seems to be at the filament sensor

Can you get to it by removing the Bowden tube from the extruder? Step one here

As @ssmith pointed out, the easiest way is to remove the tube from the top of the Nextruder. First pull up the Bowden bend to expose the coupler. Push down on the coupler ring with a fingernail and pull out the tube. Next push some filament from the side which will push out the broken filament.

Thanks, I Already did that.

Finally solved it. Steps:
1. Remove the rivets on the right side panel.
2. Use the Torx driver to remove the two M3x8rT screws holding the filament sensor in-place.
3. Push the collet on the downside of the filament sensor to remove the tube.
4. Use another filament to push the filament out of the PTFE tube.
5. Use same filament to push the filament out of the side filament sensor.
Well, almost. Now we have to 'reassemble'. Sigh.
Filament came out of the tube in about six pieces. One small piece came out of the side filament sensor. Looks like it had gone 'very brittle'.

Okay, reassembled.
a) attaching the handle to the side filament sensor is always a bit of a pain.
b) Rivets went back in well. So that was nice.

Indeed, that is supposed to work. For whatever reason that particular coupler ring never releases. I always have to unscrew the coupler.
Tis curious, cause the coupler ring has worked fine on my old MK3 printer. Perhaps I should swap it out for one that actually works !
