PTFE/Wire Harness Support Arm

The PTFE/Wire Harness Support Arm is held by a post with a tension cap on both ends, didn't take long for the arm to droop, allowing the ptfe tube, which was installed wrong to hit, the top left corner of the fan housing, as the arm moved. I fixed the tube and then the wire harness was hitting. I replacing the post with a real M3 and lock nut solved the issue, keeping the arm in alignment.

That swing arm has even been in the spotlight as "Part of the Core One philosophy":

Funny, the philosphy included a proper screw and nut, not the included garbage

One thought: If the "L" is like standard Core one, the swing arm can be turned slightly on the back wall after loosening the screws that hold it. It's only a few degrees, but over the length of the swing arm it may be enough to stay clear of the fan.

Thanks, it is a 3 screw design, no rotation possible. After printing overnight, it is hitting again, but at least the arm is not drooping.

Prusa support was useless as usual and needed to get back to me. Doubt they'll have any real solutions to a clear design issue. This mod seems to be the answer for now.

This is Prusa's answer to the wire harness/ptfe tube getting caught on the corner of the fan.

The Swing Arm extension, which worked great, did not last long before breaking.

Thanks I'll check that out. I had tried some zip ties, but I didn't have anything of that size.

For extra insurance at this point I made a wire harness fan guard

I ran across this issue as well and modeled up this fix, it doesn't require any tools and just slips over the fans in place.

Everyone needs to open a ticket for this issue.

"Unfortunately the product specialist review requires escalation through other production and test departments and is talking much longer then expected. At this point, it will likely require a few weeks since there doesn't seem to be severe concern based on our preliminaty tests.I will try my best to excalate during the next few weeks though."

Regular core one: Same problem, resulting in layer shifts.

Nothing a chopstick in the right place couldn't fix...

BTW the above mod has been working without any issues or further attention since I posted it.
