Seeking Configuration advice! 🙂

I will soon have a working core one + and a core one L, which has me thinking about how to set them up and I would appreciate some input from people on these forums.

I am wanting to take advantage of both printers capabilities as much as possible, but there are lots of different ways to set it up with what I have or will have in the future. I want to be able to print in multiple filiments and also print difficult filiments as well.

Planned upgrades: I intend to get one of the printers upgraded with the INDX. I also Intend to Upgrade one with the HT Hotend.

What I currently have: MMU3, High flow nozzle, Obxidian hardened nozzle (not high flow) .4, nextruder v6 nozzle adaptor, GPIO hackerboard (which I have yet to figure out how to use)

I am interested in how you would run the machines if you were doing multi color and also difficult materials.

I pretty much have what you have. My plan was to put INDX on the L. After reading the INDX update thread, I am not 100% decided yet. I want to see how it is implemented on the L. My guess is I will never use the MMU3 again but who knows.

My two cents: the CORE One L chamber can officially reach higher temperatures than the One+. Installing an INDX on it with the “tank turret” top cover will prevent the printer from reaching its maximum chamber temperature. So if I were you, I’d put the INDX on the One+ and keep the One L’s full capability for printing demanding filaments.

Moreover, printing with multiple toolheads takes time. Unless you enjoy leaving your printer running for multi‑day prints, I would also choose the INDX on the One+ due to its smaller build volume.

Also, the One L’s heatbed heats up faster and is less prone to warping thanks to its uniformity. That said, the HT hotend dedicated to difficult materials should obviously go on the One L.

Excepted if you need more than 8 tools.

Which filaments are you referring to?

Mods for Core One: Core One HT 450 degrees, Comfortable display , Very fast print start and Reducing noises
Mods for Prusa XL: Very fast print start

The new firmware 6.5.3, clamps the chamber temperature to 55°. Once it hit's 60° an over temp alarm will occur and the fans will cut on aggressively to lower it to 55.

Great, just another thing I can add to the list of Prusa brilliance.

I have the C1L, that is my plan. HT hotend, I am working on a MMU3, keeping everything enclosed with the standard lid.
