Suggestions on Translucent PLA

Hello All,

I have two pre-existing rolls of Matter Hackers Translucent PLA (clear and blue) and I am considering buying some more colors soon.

Before I do, I have tried the Generic PLA filament profile for Matter Hackers build series and that is working so far for normal non-translucent PLA.

Does anyone have a profile for translucent PLA they recommend and a brand of translucent PLA that prints best with a Core One?

I rather like the Galaxy Black PLA the printer shipped with. I want to use up what I have before buying a bunch of replacement PLA from a new brand.

Thanks.

I did an test print.

This is Matter Hackers Clear PLA using Prusa Slicer's generic PLA profile. Turned out alright, but has a bit of a stringing issue in the cabin. It's also not as clean on the edges. Apparently I failed to completely purge the line of the blue I printed before.

RE: Suggestions on Translucent PLA

I bought some Hatchbox Translucent Green PLA.

It is by far the WORST Filament I have EVER used. In my core one, it constantly snaps. I have to remove the boden tube every single time I use it to get the little pieces left out of it.

I don't know if it's defective or just because I used my dryer on it. Either way, this material sucks and I am highly considering throwing the 95% of it I have left away.
