I want to install my new Prusa ObXidian 0.4mm nozzle for the first time. In Prusa Slicer, do I need to specify that I am using this nozzle other than choosing the "Prusa CORE One 0.4 nozzle" preset?

Is it the high flow version or the standard version? If standard version, just pick Prusa CORE One 0.4 nozzle. If the high-flow version then Prusa CORE One HF0.4 nozzle

However, it is also a good idea to tell the printer that you are using a "hardened nozzle" in the printer control panel menu. This is not necessary when using regular filaments, but you will appreciate it if you are using abrasive filaments, such as carbon fibers. These filaments are usually set in the slicer to be abrasive, and if this is not also set in the printer menu, the printer will unnecessarily yell at you that you do not have a hardened nozzle set.

this is my next question. I bought a spool of 3dXTech, CarbonX ASA+CF.  I copied Prusament ASA filament and modified and renamed it  I didn’t see a place to specify it as CF in the profile. Aside, I will take a look at the settings in the Core One before I print.

To add to this, I don't use my Obxidian HF nozzles anymore and only print with Diamondback. They are indestructable (mostly)

In the slicer, you can set this in the Filament -> Advanced section and check the 3rd line that it is an abrasive material. But it is not important if you really have a hardened nozzle inserted. The printer does not care if you print regular filament with a hardened nozzle. The warning would come in the case I described above.

And one more thing: If you set the material as abrasive, do not forget to save the modified material as, for example, ASA-CF for next use. The original ASA material will not be overwritten. You can edit the name in the field at the top left of the filament name, and enter it by clicking on the floppy disk icon next to it.
