Question about cleaning filament

I got a roll of filament that came with a small sample roll of cleaning filament. I have never used that before. Is it good with a Core One or in general? Or should I avoid it?

I have noticed issues when switching between PLA and PETG, so maybe it's a good thing to try?

I've used cleaning filament before on my MK4S. You basically setup the nozzle temp to whatever is specified and run it through the nozzle. One way would be to set it up as a custom filament in the Filament section, do a few purges and then unload it. Alternatively can do a cold pull. Prusa recently added a cold pull wizard to the 6.5.0-alpha firmware. I've been running that for a few days now (the firmware) and seems pretty stable.

What I'm not sure about is whether or not you need to remove the Bowden tube first and feed it directly into the extruder. I suppose that depends on how much you have.

I hope I don't have to remove the tube... I am not fond of the quick connect insert pegs... I had a hell of a time getting them on once already. I suppose I should look at modifying that...

They are 5M samples, so I should have no issues for a good while.

I don't usually use it when switching between PLA and PETG but I found it useful when switching from a high temperature filament such as PcCf to lower temp filaments.
