RE:

I know this is a bit of an old thread but wanted to jump in as I was searching to see if others had issues with IEMAI PC-CF. I too had great success with it earlier this year but the formulation has definitely changed. Up until recently I had never printed ABS or ASA, but when I did I immediately noticed the "Old" IEMAI formula was cut with some sort of ABS or ASA because it had the distinct Styrene smell when printing. The newer rolls do not have a styrene smell (which is what I would expect with true PC filament) but its adhesion for larger parts is horrific with extreme warping. I can make it work for smaller parts but I am going to retire it for larger prints and switch to another brand. This thread was helpful in knowing I am not just going absolutely bananas or chasing down PEI plate issues that aren't really issues at all.

Very unfortunate though and hopefully they figure it out because it was a joy to print with, even if it did have additives. I mostly use their PETG-CF when I can, the price point is there and it prints extremely well.

For Reference:
Printed X1C
- 280* at the nozzle
- .4 nozzle
- .14-.2 layer height
- 110-115* bed temp
- Textured PEI freshly cleaned/sanded and gluestick
- WELL dried prior to use.

My roll of IEMAI PC-CF was absolute crap. I tried everything including running all of the Orcaslicer calibration tests to tune temperature, flow and extrusion rates and could never get a decent print. Finally got my hands on a roll of Prusa PC-CF and it was night and day different. I ended up throwing my IEMAI spool in the recycle bin.

Funny enough, I just did a successful print with the IEMAI PC-CF, it was small, so I figured I'd give it a try. I did switch to an off-brand bed (I saw it recommended on another thread to printing PC-CF) and used water soluble glue.

The problem I had with it was not bed adhesion (that was fine), it was layer adhesion. It was crap. Longer parts in the Z direction could break with very little lateral force. I even tried annealing the parts and it didn't help. It wasn't suitable at all for tall parts.
