Printing PA6 extruder problem
Hey all,
Im trying to dip my toes in some PA6 printing. But im having some trouble with it.
I get these blobs in the extruder gears that get stuck.
Loading the filament in and purging seems to going fine. But when i print the filement gets stuck like this.
Using a diamondback nozzle 0.4
Filament: Spectrum PA6 low warp
Printing PETG goes perfectly.
Where do i need to start looking?

You need to start with drying it in a filament drying at 80-85° for 6-8 hrs minimum. PA6 is very hard to impossible to print cleanly if it's not completely dry. After you remove it from the dryer and print it out-in-the-open you maybe have 2-3hrs before it has to go back in the dryer again. If possible you should print it from the dryer as it is drying or from a dry box.
If you don't have a filament dryer then I would pause printing this until you do.
