How do I limit the support material footprint on the build plate? (Orange slicer screen of agony)

I have a model that I need to print... it that fits on the build plate just fine... until I add supports.

There is an overhang near the top of the cylinder that drops down the supports to the build plate before they "splash" outside of the allowable build area.  I'm so close to getting this to fit, and yet it seems so far away.  Can anyone tell me how to make the brim of the support material smaller?  Is there something else I should be considering on how to successfully print my part?

Out of bounds!

Out of bounds on the other side too!

Is my part simply too big, is the printer too small?  Please say it isn't so!  That would make me sad...

btw, I did search for solutions to this and didn't see anything that made sense.  My employer has also blocked some websites, so that doesn't help.

Update, I cut the model to add another build plate with dowels to connect them once they are done printing.  I "resolved" the issue in a way I didn't want to.  What other options do i have for next time?

I looked through the support settings and found an Expert level setting called "First Layer Expansion". This setting seems to adjust the first layer overhang and defaults to 3mm. Minimum value is zero, and it supports sub-millimeter fractions (for example 0.5mm).

Oh man, I never even thought to change the view mode!  (I had my slicer set to normal mode.)  Now that I know what it's called, I looked up the article on Prusa's website.  <Sigh> It's hardly even mentioned.  I'm guessing I found that perfect little niche problem that nobody ever saw coming.  I seem to be good at those!

@sembazuru - Thanks for answering my question!
