Core One+, PETG, clumping and irregular final surface

I just started printing "real" objects with my Core One+ and had few issues with the dry box mod but am now having failures with the flat panels for the Skadis mod using a new role of Prusament PETG, the textured build plate, and the default settings in the printer for that filament.

I initially had this happen which was resolved by cleaning the Prusa textured plate with soap :

I now end up with areas of irregularity on the final surface of the print and occasional large clumps of filament deposited along the way which I have been able to pause and cut off:

I am not clear I found this exact issue in some other posts, and so am not sure if adjusting Z-axis settings or temperatures might be the next best step.  Thank you in advance for any advice!

First I would dry the filament at 60C for 8hrs. You'll be surprised how often print quality issues come about due to damp filament.
