Z-Motor Rods noisy and heavily vibrating
Hi,
the z-motor rods in my new factory-assembled Core One are very noisy and vibrate heavily during calibration and when moving fast (e.g. when the bed moves outside of actually printing).

NOT normal, but not unexpected either.
Currently just on the phone, so I can't search/post/write the full "How to", but basically:
The leadscrews are fixated at the bottom and the vertical rods are fixated at the top.
The bearings are over-constrained in the X-Axis on the rods, so there can be tension.
And if the leadscrews can't move further inside the holes at the top, there can be A LOT of tension.
What to do: slightly unscrew the screws in the black nuts and also in the printed parts with the bearings, that attach them to the bed frame. The nuts should wiggle horizontally on the printed parts and the printed parts should slightly wiggle horizontally to the bed frame.
Now move the bed completely to the bottom, then back to the top. That should resolve most of the tension. Towards the top, tighten the screws of the printed parts to the bed frame, so the position of the bearings on the rods is fixated.
Then move the bed all the way down and tighten the screws of the black nuts.
Now do two things:
1. Check, if the leadscrews can wiggle inside the holes at the top throughout the full bed height range.
2. Check, if the rods can slightly wiggle inside the little "rings" at the bottom throughout the full height.
Last: also check, if the rear leadscrew can wiggle inside the printed part at its top. If not, either the printed part needs to be loosened and wiggled into a better position and/or the black nut of the rear leadscrew needs to be slightly loosened and wiggled, when the bed is at the bottom.

The screws marked in green are indeed the ones which you should loosen during the process described by Raaz, to let the black nuts find a stress-free position. But you do not leave them loose afterwards. Tighten them down gradually, as described by Raaz. Don't overtighten them though; they should not distort the (plastic) nuts.

In the end, green and red screws should all be tightened. You first make them all slightly loose, then move the bed all the way up and then down, until you can reach the red screws to tighten them.
This aligns the printed parts (bearing) with the smooth rods.
Then move the bed to the middle, put the leadscrew alignment tool on the leadscrews, at the top and move the bed all the way down.
Now tighten the green screws. This aligns the black trapezoidal nuts with the leadscrews.
Take the alignment tool out.
Now, when you move the bed back up, the leadscrews will move horizontally, they can flex.
The smooth rods can also flex a little bit, when the bed is at the bottom.
However, the system is over-constrained and can tension up, if the bearings on the smooth rods aren't perfectly aligned or if the leadscrews can't move further within their holes at the top.
Some sound of vibration is normal, when the bed moves down. But moving up should be decently quiet. Not silent, but no nasty sounds.
