Switch to Print Preview on machine

How do you switch back to the PNG print preview of the file after you've started printing.

I have a few machines and one of them always goes back to the imagine preview after a short period but two others do not, they stay on the statistic/control screen. They are all sliced with the same slicer settings, so I know it's not the issue of not generating an image.

Anyone have any insight?

There once (pre Core One) was a buggy firmware version which would only show the preview when the timeout for it was set to more than 30 seconds: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/720843/

I can't find a reference which links this to the version of the xBuddy board -- but maybe you could try to set a slightly longer timeout to see whether it makes a difference?

Edit: Did you buy all Core Ones new, or are some of them upgraded MK4S units? (Maybe those actually have an older version of the xBuddy board?)

Do all printers have the same setting under Settings > User Interface > Print Progress Screen?

A very good question!

I wasn't aware that was a setting and I am also unsure who would have changed it from the out of box experience.

They are all marked as 30 seconds.

Under Info > Version Info they all have the same firmware but the two that don't show the preview are Buddy Board 37 and the one that shows is Buddy Board 47, that couldn't be it, right? If it is, how do I update that?

That did the trick! Set it to 35 seconds and now it's functioning as expected. Do you have suggestions on fixes, as opposed to a work around? They are all on Firmware: 6.3.4+10511 I try to keep them all on the latest, it confuses me why some are acting different.

These are straight out of the box from Prusa, although they are from different purchase orders so they are likely from different lots. I will go looking for an answer on the Buddy Board issue.

Sorry, I don't have further information or ideas. Suggesting the increased timeout value was already a stab in the dark -- as mentioned, there was no suggestion in the linked forum thread that the behavior is connected to the xBuddy version. And while the thread mentions that the issue was submitted via Github, I could not find it there in a quick search.

Might be worth checking with Prusa support via the chat. If the issue is in their "playbook", they should be able to resolve it quickly. If it is not, maybe it's time for another bug report on Github?
