Read leadscrew will only go up

I received my core one two days ago. I just tried easyprint for the first time and the rear lead screw wouldn’t move so the bed became skewed. After stopping the print I found I could only get the rear lead screw to make the bed go down, but not up. I turned the printer on and off and the issue persisted. I was able to fix the issue after going through the z axis calibration again. Anyone else having this issue?

RE: Read leadscrew will only go up

The title of your post has me confused, but the text seems to describe a problem that several other users have found as well. Two things you should do -- these have fixed the issue in all prior cases, I believe:

(a) Make sure the black nuts which ride on the lead screws are in the correct lateral positions and do not put strain on the lead screws. Move the bed all the way down, loosen the 3*2 screws which hold the three nuts, then gradually tighten the screws again. Do not overtighten them; the nuts are plastic and should not be deformed.

(b) Lightly grease the three lead screws, using some of the lubricant that came with the printer. The nuts should be able to run dry (they are made of POM), but several users have observed nasty noises and/or the Z drive getting stuck, and were able to fix this by light lubrication.

Fingers crossed, but these two steps have helped in multiple instances before.
