Re-home while print is paused?

Sometimes raised misprinted blobs clip the print head (and will eventually cause a crash).

If I'm near to the printer and hear this happening I usually pause the print and use a scalpel to try to cut off any raised bits.

If the print head has hit the raised misprint hard enough it can lose its position. (I'm using input shaping, so crash detection is disabled).

It would be great if there were a menu option to force re-homing whilst in a paused state as this would likely make it possible to resume the print in most cases.

Any chance this option can be added to a future firmware version?

(I'm talking about XY homing).

Also, are there any existing workarounds that allow you to recover the print from this situation? (I.e. once the print head has already lost its XY position).

RE:

If you have enabled the Expert mode in PrusaSlicer you can edit the pause gcode. You coud just add G28 to this pause gcode, but then it will home all three axis. I read through the RepRap wiki, and I think you can maybe do:

G28 X Y

and that should theoretically only home the X and Y axis, but im unsure if this works on the core one. If you want to try this, I would at first test this with a small model in the rear left corner, so in case it still homes the Z axis the print wont crash into the gantry or the top panel.
