Question about Ventilation grille prompt

Anyone knows how to disable the Ventilation grille prompt ?

I switch on the CoreOne remotly when I´m not in the room. But can´t start a print because I have to confirm that the grille is open.

Can´t find a setting to disable this prompt

I have the same problem and this is very annoying!I almost only mold PETG sometimes PLA rarely ABS.I launch 99% of my prints remotely and I can't phone my family every time to ask them to press that damn verification button!I am very angry about this!

You can confirm it remotely in Prusa Connect. But it would be better if there was an option to turn it off.

Guys, you can leave the prompt open on the screen, the print will start normally even if you don't close it.

Also the prompt appears only once after a filament swap, as far as I can tell.

Thanks for the advice. The problem is that remotely it only reports that there is a problem but without seeing the display it is not easy to tell.

RE: Question about Ventilation grille prompt

It seems to appear more often than after a filament swap. I have been printing solely ASA-CF on one of the Cores and it appears every single time (mostly, dunno, maybe only the after the printer was shut down). But more often than the filament is swapped. Might be a new bug due to the firmware unload change, but nevertheless I DO NOT WANT to be babysitted. I should request and "adult only" mode on github.

Can we get a little arm which rides on top of the Nextruder and which -- when the Nextruder moves all the way to the front, to the area outside of the print sheet --  engages with a pin on the ventilation grille? Then, with some custom G-Code, the printer can ensure the correct grille position automatically. 😎

okayish as well. As I do not print PLA/PETG with the C1s I never bother with the grille. Apparently 10 mm of PU and 40 Kg of concrete slab block that grille anyway. So, I like to have some more of these useless sliders:

on/off hardened nozzle (that I don't swap)

on/off high flow nozzle (that the printer does not really do)

on/off childproof and useless advices (disables the door sensor out of convenience at the same time)

If I think about it I had some more gimmicks to add to the third toggle... 😉

Then I actually found that on prusalink the message appears and can be confirmed remotely. However, it would be good to be able to have a switch in the menu so that it can be turned off as it was provided for the port.

Perhaps you could use servo controls by probably controlling it with the GPIO board

RE: Question about Ventilation grille prompt

I think that putting a filament specific custom gcode for PLA and PETG for example is possible, that way you can switch a pin of the board high or low, and with that you could run a servo. Only thing is, when starting a print the printer asks if the vent is open or closed, I have not tried to let the prompt be and just let the print start, I will do that soon. If the print starts regardless of the prompt, I will go forward and see if I can get the servo working.

I'm also messing with the idea. I really wish there was more clarity on how to get info from the printer on the current filament type and settings... or to directly tell it what is present. Being able to do NFC or QR informed filament settings via the hackerboard would be lovely.

RE: Question about Ventilation grille prompt

Hi,

In prusaslicer you can put custom code in the filament settings, so when slicing for ASA or PETG you can open or close the top vent with a servo and the use of the hacker board pins and custom gcode. I am just struggling on how to mount the servo, I am now thinking of using a small gear and rack to open and close the vent. But it should be mounted on the lid and I do not want that if possible.

I think they should have the reminder prompt pop up when you load the filament rather than when you first start the print.

Yeah this makes much more sense.

RE: Question about Ventilation grille prompt

Given the MMU material check prompt only appears when running a job from the screen (not when doing a remote send) I wonder if the same could be used for the prompt? If you hit run via the screen it asks, but if you run it remotely it assumes you are aware of what you are doing?
