PETG on textured
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’m completely out of ideas at this point 😅
I’m having adhesion issues with PETG on the official Prusa textured sheet, and I can’t figure out what’s going on.
Context:
I’ve printed PETG for a long time on a MK3S without any issues
So the usual suspects like “dirty sheet” or “wet filament” can probably be ruled out (but I’m still open to suggestions)
Material / settings:
Prusament PETG
Nozzle: 250°C (default profile)
Bed: 90°C (+5 compared to default)
Chamber: ~35°C
Issue:
Parts randomly detach
It doesn’t happen at a consistent height or location
No issues at all on the smooth sheet → so it doesn’t seem like a Z or mechanical problem
What I’ve already tried:
Cleaning with 99.9% IPA
Washing with hot water + dish soap
Even lightly scrubbing with the rough side of a sponge to “refresh” the surface
Went through the Prusa knowledge base multiple times 😅
Contacted support → they pointed me back to the same articles
What I’m hesitant to try:
Light sanding (600–800 grit) → not super comfortable doing that without being sure
At this point I’m really not sure what else to try, especially since everything works perfectly on the smooth sheet.
If anyone has experienced this specific behavior with the textured sheet, I’d really appreciate any ideas 🙏
Thanks in advance!
RE: PETG on textured
Replace the plate with a BIQU Cryogrip Glacier
RE:
Have you tried spray adhesive e.g. 3DLAC? I can't remember PETG specifically with the textured sheet but it's usually very robust.
It feels like cheating but I'm lazy 🙂 got more interesting things to do than fight bed adhesion issues.

If you go the adhesive route, I'm a huge fan of Vision Miner Nano Polymer Adhesive. Just don't use it with ASA unless you don't mind the part being permanently welded to the sheet.
