MMU3 profiles for different nozzle diameters

Hello friends.

I was on the prowl for mmu3 nozzle profiles for the core one. Particularly for a .25 nozzle. And was therfore wondering if anyone have had any luck with finding them or modifying their own as I haven't been able to locate any myself.

My intentions is to explore the use of a dissolvable support filament for miniature use and wanted to see if the technique had any merit in eliminating the post process hassle.

The core one is the first printer I personally own and I'm not entirely comfortable with the advanced settings necessary for setting up a new currently unsupported nozzle profiles, so that's why I'm asking.

Thank you for any and all replies.

I have never used different size nozzles with MMU3,
However I expect the purge towers would be much larger, since there will be a similar quantity of purge material to dispose of at a lower layer height, due to the smaller nozzle, and the print time would be larger due to the greater number of lines required to pass the purge material in addition to the longer print time in general with a smaller nozzle.

ADDITIONALLY YOU NEED TO FACTOR IN INCREASED PURGE MATERIAL TO ENSURE THE NOZZLE IS CLEAR OF SOLUBLE MATERIAL, AFTER EVERY CHANGE BACK TO NORMAL FILAMENT,
Otherwise the normal filament will not bond together well... !

I would imagine the same amount of purged material as a .4 nozzle is to be exspected, no?

As the material left over in the nozzle would be relatively the same amount as that of an .4 nozzle as the only real variable that is changing is the output hole. Sure it will take longer and the purge tower will look larger but the tower should be the "exsact" same amount of material?

RE: MMU3 profiles for different nozzle diameters

If your 0.25 nozzle was printing at the same layer height as a 0.4mm nozzle, the purge block would be a similar size, however when you go to a smaller nozzle for better definition, you usually also go to a smaller layer height. when you go to a smaller layer height you get more filament changes per millimetre model height, each small layer height purge has as much volume as the larger layerheightpurge, however disposing of the same volume of material at a smaller layer height, requires a larger purge tower area and a larger area takes more time with a small nozzle. and having more layers per millimetre height, means more purges per millimetre height.

Ahhh ofcourse.

I didn't think of that. Perfect reason as to why im hesitant in creating my own nozzle profile for an unsupported size.

Thank you very much.
