Melted USB cable

I had an unexpected thing happen on my CoreOne+. I an Octoprint server running on a Pi connected to the CoreOne through a USB-c cable plugged into the back USB-c port on the printer. I'm generally running the printer through Prusa Connect, but using Octoprint to monitor the camera and to occasionally send commands or G-codes to the printer.

Lately I've been running a number of polycarbonate prints with a 55C chamber temperature and found the the Octoprint connection to the printer stopper working. I then noticed that the USB-c connection to the printer was a bit "wobbly," and looking closer found that the USB-c cable connector was somewhat melted/softened on the printer side. I guess with the chamber at 55C, the walls of the enclosure get fairly hot as well, but was still surprised that it was enough to melt the cable. Has anyone else encountered something similar.
I ordered a high-temperature rated USB-c cable and hope that this solves my issue.
