Core One+ ventilation grill

Hi everyone!

I've tried to find a similar post but maybe using wrong topics to search it.

I upgraded my Core One to + and there is an update missing on the firmware. When I finish the print, the extruder end at the end right of the printer. That's fine.
But when I load a new filament and select PLA, start a new print, before homing the extruder tries to open the vent at the end! It's impossible to find the vent there.

I double-checked the grill position, I know there is only one position. Of course, I have activated the option "Automatic chamber vent opening/closing (C1/+)". And I have last firmware 6.4.0

If I don't explain properly, excuse me, I'll try to upload a video of the case next time I print.
Anyone have the same "problem"?

Never noticed that. A video would be useful. And maybe a copy of a 3mf project file to see if there's anything in your settings that's messed up. Between firmware update and updated printer settings in Prusaslicer, this shouldn't happen.

RE:

As you can see in the video I set PLA as material and when I start a print it does the auto open vent at the very end.

If I don't change the filament for the next print, it does nothing. So I assume the printer memorizes the last position for the vent.

I'll attach a project with my slicer. BTW it's fully updated also.

Thank you

The printer doesn't memorize the vent position. It assumes you didn't change in between prints (or you didn't accidentally move it). This is wrong in my opinion. In the Printers -> Custom G-code you can add the following which opens or closed the vent before each print. Add the line starting with M870 just after G28.

...

M84 E ; turn off E motor

G28 ; home all without mesh bed level

M870 {if chamber_minimal_temperature[initial_tool]!=0}C{else}O{endif} ; Open vent for low temp materials

{if chamber_minimal_temperature[initial_tool]!=0}
; Min chamber temp section

...

Then add the following to End G-code to close the vent after each print

{if layer_z < max_print_height}G1 Z{z_offset+min(max_layer_z+1, max_print_height)} F720 ; Move print head up{endif}
M870 C ; close vent

...

Then it's correct the printer open the vent when I load PLA filament. But have you seen it open on the very end of the printer?
