CORE One + USB Port (Brand new printer)

Hey everyone! I already contacted support but I'm posting here in case someone has info or encountered this before.

Brand new printer, just arrived and pre-assembled. I assembled  my previous Prusa but didn't want to go through the hassle this time.
Everything okay including tests, then came time for the first print - 'No USB' feedback when using the OEM USB. I checked:
- that the USB is correctly seated
- double-checked all cables
- checked this USB on other devices (reads)
- checked a new correctly formatted and sized USB on the new printer ('No USB')
- No error codes
- Checked that the casing allows for the USB to go in all the way

I want to ask:
- is there any way to print without the USB stick, while I wait for support? My previous mk 1.5 had an SD Drive but I don't see one featured here. Is the USB stick the internal storage of this device even when files are streamed?
- anyone know about this or had this problem before? Fixable on my end, or will need a new LCD?

Feeling down after waiting so long to get it and already encountering issues :/

Use a memory pen 32GB or less and you should be able to use the printer

Hi Joan,
Unfortunately all the USBs I tried so far (including the OEM supplied) are under 32GBs. Forgot to mention so people could rule it out, thanks for pointing that

there is a USB'C' connector on the back panel of the Buddy board box, you could try loading a file into Pronterface and streaming it to the printer...
Not a brilliant option, but might work for you...
probably have to save the file as Gcode, rather than BG Code

In other words, stream G-Code through USB serial "console"? I might come back to that later when I have worn out the cycle count of my Core one's USB connector...

Just thinking aloud here: Chances are good the control panel PCB worked in final test before packaging but doesn't work now.

What I would do is

- remove the PCB from the front panel

- examine under magnification the USB connector area for anything obvious e.g. non-wet solder joint

- try with the PCB outside the case, possibly applying very mild force on the USB stick up and down to see whether it connects and the icon shows up (this would be a HW defect, but the more you can narrow it down, the better).

The Prusa USB sticks are garbage (I've had 2 go bad within a year). I made the same assumption when it happened to me "Must be a problem with the USB connector" since I could read/format the USB stick on my Mac but the printer wouldn't recognize it. Then realized maybe there is a problem with the stick.

I use a 16GB SanDisk Industrial Micro-SD card with a USB adapter.
