Available Nozzles for CORE One

WARNING: Absolute and complete newbie asking a question:

I'll be placing an order for my CORE One in the near future and I want to give myself maximum flexibility by ordering at least one of all the available nozzles.  PrusaSlicer Config CORE One presets includes many nozzles (e.g. "Prusa CORE One 0.25 nozzle") that aren't listed as compatible for CORE One under the Nozzle listing on Prusa3d.com .

What am I missing?

Er, a sensible reason for doing this.

By all means buy a couple of spare nozzles, expect a brass nozzle to last 7 - 9 months with regular, non abrasive filaments and a 50% duty cycle.  The Core One comes with a HF 0.4mm nozzle, I would switch to a 0.4mm regular nozzle as, in my opinion, the HF's tiny increase in printing speed isn't worth the extra complexity in clearing any clogs caused by newbie handling.

After perhaps a year of printing you may begin to identify situations where a different nozzle might be useful, only then is it worth buying something different.

These days I print with 0.6mm nozzles perhaps two thirds of the time and 0.4mm for the rest.  I do own a 0.25mm nozzle; I fitted it for an afternoon about six years ago and haven't used it since ... your mileage and use-case *will* vary.

Cheerio,

RE: Available Nozzles for CORE One

I don't see any reason why nozzles for the Mk4S are not compatible with the Core One. Same extruder.

Having said that, I second Diem's suggestion to go with standard flow, not HF. I also strongly suggest Obxidian. They are fully compatible with standard profiles and don't require any adjustments, last forever, and should you ever want to do any abrasive filaments, you never have to worry about what nozzle is installed at the moment.

I also feel getting one of each nozzle size is overkill, in particular if you're new and not sure yet where the 3d printing journey will take you. There's a reason 0.4 is the de facto standard. 0.25 is fine for printing small details but extends print times a LOT. I've used it occasionally for small print on top of a model but like Diem it mostly sits unused. I use 0.8 on one dedicated printer that prints a large dog training tool I sell, as it dramatically reduces print time, and dogs don't care about the rougher look. My 0.6 mm nozzles also sit mostly unused. They're a bit faster than 0.4 but for most of what I print it's insignificant and I prefer the better quality I get from the 0.4.

But to repeat Diem's wise words: Your mileage will vary as it all depends on your use cases. No need to spend the money yet, as long as you don't have a use case.

You are probably looking at wrong nozzles. Here is 0.25mm for Core One: https://www.prusa3d.com/product/prusa-nozzle-brass-0-25-mm/
