0.20 SPEED with Prusament PETG needs tuning?
Was printing a part that has about a 70mm x 110mm flat base on it with a fresh out of the package and printing from a dryer box Prusament Ultramarine transparent PETG. This was a draft version, so I set it to 0.20 SPEED profile, with Prusament PETG filament profile. In the first few solid layers, the depositing layer was exhibiting threads sticking up, and I think these were building up on the nozzle on the next layer printed. Bottom layers completed OK but not great, and about 2-3 layers into grid infill, the nozzle caught on a dropped blob (from the earlier layers? not sure) and shifted the head/ruined the print, etc. Same part re-sliced at 0.20 BALANCED printed absolutely fine.
Any guesses what went wrong? I did end up recalibrating after cleaning up the failure, so it's possible the printer was out of calibration in some way. Comparing the profiles, the only relevant difference is pretty much acceleration speed, but the SPEED profile isn't all that much faster than BALANCED. I guess I could try the SPEED print again to see if it repros.
