Trying to decide whether to upgrade MK3S+/MMU3 to MK4S/MMU3 or leave MK3S+/MMU3 as is and buy Core ONE?
I have an MK3S+ with an MMU3 right now. I have been toying with upgrading but I don't know yet if I want to upgrade to the MK4S/MMU3 or upgrade to the Core One. I wish they had an upgrade option to get from the MK3S+/MMU3 directly to the Core One. The upgrade from the MK3S+ to the MK4S is 633 and then the upggrade from the MK4S to the Core One is another 449 but a brand new Core One kit if I was just to throw my MK3S+ in the trash is only 949 so it is cheaper to throw the MK3S+ in the trash than it is to do the two upgrades to get from the MK3S+ to the Core One. Something is wrong with that picture. for those that have had the MK4S and the Core One already. What are your thoughts? Am I better off upgrading to the MK4S/MMU3 and calling that good or am I better off leaving the MK3S+/MMU3 as is (essentially letting it die a long slow death) and buying a brand new Core One? Which is a better setup? MK4S/MMU3 or Core One?
MK4S/MMU3 upgrade for 633
MK4S/MMU3 upgrade followed by MK4S/MMU3 conversion to Core One for combined total of 1082
Brand new Core One for 949

If you are heading for Core 1, I would hold back on buying MMU3, it is likely the Core1 version will be different. ~
I have used Mk3S with MMU3 and Mk3.9 with MMU3, both worked well

I already have the MMU3 on my MK3S+. I was debating on whether to do the upgrade to the MK4S with my MMU3. Sounds like it might be worth it to do the MK4S upgrade and just stick with that along with my existing MMU3 if they are still trying to figure out a solid game plan for an MMU type add-on for the Core One. I guess I didn't realize that my MMU3 would not be usable if I went to the Core One. Thanks for the advice.

I personally would wait for the new MMU3(?) specifically made for the Core One. Due to the fact, that they stopped producing certain MMU3-Upgradekits, it might be possible, that the changes for the Core One are no minor changes, but bigger ones.

From when I upgraded M3S to MK4S most of the MK3 will end up being replaced - likely Heat Bed & Power Supply will be main items that remains when you upgrade through to a Core 1.
So I'd say jump straight to Core 1 Kit if that is where you are going. Though because of a Black Friday Deal and MK4S to Core 1 Kit on Order I will do what I'm telling you not to - but that worked out cheaper than Core 1 kit.

I am still using the mmu2 motors and controller in my mmu3, only the plastics changed. plus new cables and the PD board
I also have a new Finda, but that's only because the old one failed... i think it was new in about 2018
suspect that the core1 will have some different plastics
they are still calling it MMU3

Right now I would say no. I have never paid so much for a printer, and I feel I am back in Ender land.. fail fail fail fail.. tweak tweak tweak tweak, research etc. get the picture.. should of printed right out of the box, I am having nothing but probs that feed into another. I feel like crying as I am an old lady on SS and this printer sucks
