first post

I just ordered five minutes ago. I had my first 3D printer (Creality CR-6 SE) somewhat over a year ago and it's been a nice intro into 3D printing but the speed puts me off. Now the wait for the kit has begun as Chuck said. Looking forward to build the kit and having an enclosed core one!

location Netherlands (the part above the waterline :-))

The wait is over!

Received the kit today, some wear from transport on the parcel but packaging is very good and contents are pristine!

A great pleasure to assemble, pity I have to go to sleep now and work tomorrow 😉

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

Well @iftibashir, i did manage to hold off on building it right away. Last Saturday i started by unpacking the box, clearing my desk and began the build.
The mk3 and later the mk3s i completed inside of the 8 hour "normal" timeframe, but currently the Core1 is still not done.

Am taking my time, savoring the experience. (that and other stuff came up on both weekend days, and even this Monday) Currently the last thing i did was attach both sidewall indents. So still to do are the acrylic panels, the door, the screen, tuning the belts and then just install the firmware and do the selftest. So almost done.

What i can say so far, what a massive well build machine. But man what is the double sided tape on the 4 corner feet weak AF. That well off about 15 minutes after putting them on. So i decided to take those off, continue the build without the feet and then once complete, i will use some good 3m tape to stick them back on at the end.

Posted by: @iftibashir

We all know you wont be able to hold on for 2 weeks!!!
Do it, give in!!! 😉

Posted by: @spekkie3d-2

Its here!
And man that is one heavy box for sure. Despite a snapped box handle, the box seems perfectly fine otherwise so that is encouraging.

Have not opened up the box just yet. Will do that later today. And then as for the build i think i will hold off until the weekend or maybe even try to hold off until my vacation that i have in 2 weeks. As the original delivery was batch 6 with a started shipping day of the 19th before it got bumped up to batch 5 and was shipped last Friday. (original order was done on February 8th.

Two of my kit's feet also came off right during the build -- probably helped by me pushing the printer around on the table occasionally.

When I tried to reattach the feet using double-sided sticky tape, I found the black rubber to be quite adhesive-repellent. (The original tape had also detached cleanly from the rubber parts, while still sticking firmly to the metal frame.) Roughening the rubber surface with fine sandpaper helped!

Thank you for the tip Jürgen! As i have just completed the printer and did my test bency, (the rules one from the SD card, and it came out bloody perfect, if i say so myself) But even my own 3M tape did not hold on to the rubber. So for now the printer was placed on a deskpad. But i will try your sandpaper tip.

Just remove the camera, the order will ship faster.

...I'm not leavin'... I'm not (expletive) leavin'!

I will keep the camera on my pending order until the Core Two is released. Camera HODL gang.

Mediocre Regards,

Ordered a kit on March 31, batch number given was 11, estimated shipping date was June 2. Order has switched to In-Progress 🙂

With regards to additional items: Originally had the camera, over some amendments had the filtration system and Oxidian nozzle then had it all removed, ended up adding the Satin plate to the order as well about a month ago. Have not modified the order since then.

I'm curious: Has anyone with a combined order had their batch number re-assigned yet? Mine's (kit + camera) still Batch 11. 😀

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

Next time I'd probably just order when the shipping schedule is more acceptable. It seems there is no point in ordering early as Prusa sit on your money for months before shipping anyways - so may as well keep your money and order when the first wave has ended and shipping times are more reasonable.

So, for example, it's either a matter of ordering in Feb and being without your money or item, until taking delivery July, at which point shipping schedules have dropped, so you could order in July and wait 2-3 weeks for shipping later the same month or early August!

I'd save the frustration and choose the latter next time!

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

I'm mildly confused now. It seems that the email that I got a week ago, about my order and delays and a voucher was also supposed to mean that while my Batch 10 order had its earliest shipping date in the near future, it would be included in the delay. Support chat was more or less just restating this.
I guess my order as the 'least delayed' (I do acknowledge that a lot of people must have gotten the much worse end of the stick!) ended up with a lower priority than unaffected orders, seeing how JingleMePringles got an in progress for their Batch 11 order. FWIW my order was placed on 2025-03-09.
TBH, I'll be happy if my order ships by end of next week.

I'm mildly annoyed by the support chat though. I spent about 3h(!) waiting, as I got thrown out twice despite constantly clicking and toggling in the chat window:

Chat ended automatically due to your inactivity. Feel free to start it again.

The time guess-o-meter is also overly optimistic at the moment. It kept showing anything from 17 to 29 minutes "queue', but each time took about an hour before I got an agent.
Also it seems like the agents are flooded and trying to handle many chats in parallel, as responses to chat messages had a very large spread from 30s to 12 minutes.
The agent I got to actually chat with in the end seemed to be tightly wound. I guess lots of confused people. I kept being pointed at the email, as if it would answer *all* my questions…

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

I was thinking in the same direction.
I waited until the first wave was over and Prusa told us they will have enough stock to prevent long waiting times. Also, at the time of order everything was in stock, including the camera and the high flow Obxidian nozzle.

After ordering I got a confirmation with a "shipping starts" of June 21. That's a 16 week waiting time ...
Somehow I got bumped to June 12 and then to May 26.
So guess what I got on May 25 ??? A mail telling me that "we prioritized the most delayed orders, including yours. The shipment is expected within two weeks"

Duh ??? I was expecting delivery somewhere soon after May 26 so I count this a yet another delay in the process...

Luckily we have a Bambu X1C at my new work place. I almost regretted ordering a Prusa printer instead of the new Bambu H2D but after using the X1C for a week or two I am now convinced that Prusa is the better option - even with all the bad reviews that show a lot of VFAs, the X1C is not perfect either and just to fragile for my big hands.

When I ordered it became a batch 11 printer. No idea what happened but that went to 10 and now to Batch 9.

I am a bit concerned about that Batch 2 order that still has not been shipped. When I (we ?) ordered all parts were available. It seems other people who ordered later now have our parts (camera, filtration unit and also the Obxidian high flow nozzle).

My conclusion is that Prusa seems to punish customers who ordered early with the "ship when everything is available" option ticked.
This is now how a company should handle loyal customers and I'll definitely start complaining about this when they tell me my order will be delayed even more.
I'm a big fan of our current Prusa XL printers: reliable work horses that have not let me down since we got then a year ago. But the way Prusa handles their current customers almost made me decide to cancel my order and get a Creality K2. It's cheaper, has more features and comes with a CFS (the Creality version of an AMS/MMU) for the same price as my Core One order. Best of all is that it is in stock and delivered tomorrow from a local webshop.

But damn ... that Prusa quality is hard to beat 🙄

Similar situation here. Got Batch 10, that got moved forward to 28th, then on the 25th got the email.
Then as posted above talked to support and somehow it seems to mean that on the 25th they lumped everyone with a camera into some separate pool and expect 14d to work through it.

That turns really confusing for you and me, as it means that our orders have now a shipping target "by 2025-06-06T23:59:59+02:00".
I guess it's still good because we'd have been silently delayed a lot if the situation had persisted and unremediated.

Oh and I was reassured that I'd get my obxxidian hi-flow (and other items) and the shop shows availability for new orders and not how much stock they have. So you should too. 🤞

Was thinking those of you with the problem of feet falling off possibly didn't clean the metal properly before applying...nope.  Mine fell off as well, haha.

I'll probably print a set of these on my MK3S, and then also using your sandpaper tip to help them stick better with new adhesive: https://www.printables.com/model/1303606-prusa-core-one-feet-v2-prusa-feet-reuse

I ordered January 31 knowing that I'd be delayed due to the filtration.  Just when the filtration became available they received a bad batch of cameras from their vendor and so my order was delayed further.  I have now received an email apologizing for the extreme delay and a $30 USD credit.  I'm a bit frustrated at the lack of proactive communication but otherwise I just find the situation mildly amusing.  As my grandmother used to say, "Uff da!"
