There is however good news also. If what we print on our Core One (when we get it!) can be argued to be "ART" it will be exempt from tariffs when imported into the US.

Wrong ! It is based on the price of the art work on the market, which certainly include "paint brushes, printing presses, and cameras" as in the case of 3D printed works : the printer, filaments and electricity etc.

I have got the information from Prusa today, that the Core One/MK4+ conversion kit will start being send by end of April.

I just saw a comment on Reddit that someone in batch 2 has just received Fedex tracking information. If true, that means they're a week ahead of schedule. Or maybe it's another example of prioritising US customers to try and help them avoid increased tariffs.

Probably you will have to pay Trump's 25% EU tariff before seeing your Core One if I'm not mistaken.
The 25% tariffs will only kick in tomorrow, so you might get away with 10%.
I’ve just read that Trump has announced a 90-day pause on tariffs. I imagine that will come as quite a relief for our US friends who were sweating over the queue!

The Reddit user who posted this is Dutch.
I'd say it's more a matter of batch 1 kits being delayed because of other unavailable items in the same orders.
Or they might be ahead of schedule yeah, which would be really nice!

Here in the UK we have been paying 20% for years. I don’t see why everyone else should be pushed back in the queue because a few Americans are crying about having to pay what everyone else is already paying
