RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
It's good that they clarified that it's March 2025
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Oh boys, don´t be so optimistic. may be P will send first kit on monday, but nothing else. We must wait ( as usual with Prusa s new announced printers) minimal 4 months . and now it is only 2 months.
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
In my opinion, the instructions for the kit version should be released long before the product is shipped, so that the whole community has time to review it and improve it faster before shipping. Keeping it "secret" until the last day doesn't make sense.
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Damn, Prusa is min-maxing this march start for sure.
Now then, when can i stand in line for the C1 MMU3 upgrade kit? If by some miracle i'm in the Batch 1, then i wont have anything to get stressed by.
RE:
I can’t hold my tongue any longer …
This is crazy unprofessional for a company with international sales… to promise shipping “in march”, then have zero transparency on where things are over many weeks, and refuse to give real updates other than “we’re working on it”. Most other companies around the world I deal with day-to-day bend over backwards to tell me where my package or product is in the queue or manufacturing plan, what troubles they’re encountering, or updated shipping estimates - this makes me feel like they are actually working on it and care about me, after or before taking my money, totally opposite to Prusa who demand secrecy and patience with no feedback. This isn’t Prusa’s first rodeo, they’re pissing off a lot of dedicated customers…
if I had purchased the kit for research through my company, it would have NEEDED to be delivered within March, to meet our fiscal year budget deadline. Given the “facts” on their website about “shipping in March”, its not outrageous to imagine someone believing in the company and doing this, only to be forced to pay double even if they were the first order, as it would have never made it to them by end of March. Luckily, it’s only my money on the line here, but Prusa is playing with peoples schedules.
like many have said, nobody cares that the core kit might be or will be late, it’s the lack of communication and continuous push to trust their process that’s killing me. Why does Prusa demand secrecy, it’s a friggen 3D printer, not a nuclear submarine… did someone order the wrong bearings? Who cares, it happens, just tell us 🥲🙇🏻♂️
I’ll say it - “shipping in March” is not an acceptable replacement for “shipping on the last day of March”.
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
It will be Monday. Nothing like the last minute.
Here's hoping that Prusa's project plan accounts for the missing hour over the weekend, due to the transition to daylight saving time. 😎
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
To be fair, when my P1S lets me down on a filament, I can always count on my MK3S+ (an upgraded MK3) to reliably step in.
And I appreciate that Prusa still supply replacement parts for my now nearly 7 year old printer - which is more than I can care to say for the 7 year old Creality Cr10 and 4 year old Ender Max, neither of which got much in the line of upgrades from the manufacturer and for replacement parts I'm dependent on 3rd party suppliers. The only thing holding me back from buying the Core One kit is the lack of space from the number of printers I already have.
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
I would have at least expected that they would slowly give up the batches. So that you can roughly estimate
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Couple more days guys 😉
Personally, I'm waiting for the dust to settle before I pick one up.......
--> MK4 - MK4S - MINI+ - MMU3 - Accelerometer Guide - BambuLab A1 Combo <--
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
True or not, it's funny.
But it's weird to announce shipping in January for the assembled version, then in March for the kit version, but wait until the last day of the month. At this point, why not just announce it for April 1st? Maybe it would sound like an April Fools' joke, but at least we’d all have a laugh about it.
After all, they announced MK4S -> Core One conversion kits for April. And as it turns out, it really will be an April Fool's joke.
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
I don't get it. Why does Prusa think that "We are still, technically, on track to our announced March ship date" means the same as "There is no need for us to communicate in any way with our customers"? It's just terrible style, from a company who prides itself on being the good guys.
RE:
I'm sure that if Prusa published the assembly instructions a little earlier they would have more orders.
Most of us wait for the instructions before ordering the printer.
The competition does not wait for the assembly instructions to copy, as they would have us believe, but buys a printer already assembled.
This leads me to believe that either the instructions are very complex, or that following them the assembly does not work, or that having given them to someone to try, they found themselves at the end of the assembly with a hair curler and not with a 3D printer
Sorry for my bad english.
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
True. You could always cancel your order so someone else can get theirs earlier. 🤣

Indeed. The deafening silence has me worried they ran into some issue and we'll get an announcement informing us of a delay soon.

Delay means some type of voucher will probably be given out. I’ve received vouchers for product delays and missing printed components for kits. I’d rather get my kit.

I wouldn't mind a voucher personally, as I'm pretty low on filament 😂

That seems like a non sequitur to me.

I was purely trying to be funny. I actually agree with you. I wish they were more transparent. I wonder if it is cultural.
